The Great Lake
In that night I lost myself in shallow waters, Amidst the greeting glow of the moon. With no intention of being found, I submerged myself With eyes fixated on the shore.
It was as if some special secret was being revealed to me As her presence became apparent. Olive skin painted in greyscale, by the shimmering faintness of the evening.
Breathing heavy as the weight of my emotions grew, her familiar and comforting smile induced such raw feelings That I felt overwhelmed by the beauty that lay before me.
Directed away from the city she moved towards me, Through unknown grounds to a space that we did not know nor understand.
It was in this moment that I knew that we had begun to get lost together.
